The Vital Role Played by Volunteers

Without the contribution of Lytham Heritage Group's army of volunteers the Museum could not exist. Countless people from all walks of life have freely given their time and effort to our heritage cause, inspired by the wonder of the Windmill, the Museum, the exhibition programme and by the friendly people who bring life to the Museum.

We want volunteers with all sorts of skills. At weekends, and on weekdays we need at least one volunteer, usually two, to man the mill, with the employee from the Tourist Information Centre.

What about behind the scenes work?

There is always work to be done in the Museum under the guidance of our exhibition preparation team. For those interested in the past, there is much to be done helping our archivist in conducting further research, maintaining computer records and labelling documents and illustrative material. We are very fortunate in sharing an archive room for this purpose as part of Lytham Heritage Group.

Even if you can only be available for the odd hour contact us at enquiries@lythamwindmill.co.uk or using the contact details in the CONTACT US page
