Lytham Clifton Square

This is where Church Road, Park Street, Clifton Street, and Dicconson Terrace meet, at the
easterly side of Market Square. The most important buildings in the town were originally centred in the Square. At
one time the terminus for the tram service was located here, where the main stop for today's buses
stand.
Nowadays the taxi rank is by the Market Square away from the main thoroughfare, whereas when
the horse-drawn carriages were waiting for custom, they did so on the Square, between Clifton Street and Henry
Street.
Today most of Lytham's shops are located on Clifton Street, Park Street and Church Road.
The town has become one of the most popular venues for shoppers in the North West, with an essential good mix of
retail shops and many cafes, bistros and restaurants.
